As already announced, the 35th Meeting of the German Association of Endocrine Surgeons (CAEK) will take place as a Joint Meeting with the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons (BAETS) from 10 to 12 November 2016 in Berlin.
It is a great pleasure for us that British Surgeons will visit Germany to take part in the joint meeting of four nations: Great Britain, Austria, Switzerland and Germany
The theme of the meeting is “Learning From Each Other”. The aims are to discuss, analyse and debate differences in endocrine surgery strategies between the nations in order to educate and to potentially improve patient outcomes. The language of the meeting will be English.
The Joint Meeting will take place at the Hilton Hotel, located in the centre of Berlin, and will be organised by Porstmann Kongresse (congress organiser). The meeting website www.caek-baets-berlin2016.com provides information including the details for hotel reservations.
Online registration and abstract submission will start on May 1, 2016. We expect interesting lectures and poster in all areas of Endocrine Surgery (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal), all of them in English.
As a special feature will we have a CAEK-BAETS Prize Session. Review of the British abstracts will be by a committee of German, Austrian and Swiss surgeons. Abstracts of the CAEK will be evaluated by British colleagues. Deadline of abstract submission is June 30, 2016. All selected abstracts will be published in “Langenbeck’s Archive of Surgery”.
The Gala Dinner will celebrated at Panorama 37 of the hotel ParkInn, Alexanderplatz where you will have a spectacular view over the city of Berlin.
We are looking forward to meeting you at this outstanding Joint Meeting. German speaking surgeons and British Surgeons will enjoy the meeting with new ideas, challenging discussions and the goal of Learning From Each Other.
